HELPING THESE SCHOOLS

Fairfax High School - Los Angeles, California

After 18 years of no Instrumental Music Education, Fairfax High School in West Hollywood, CA has instituted a Band Director, Ray Vizcarra, who in 2006 has started a band program - starting with a marching band.  Due to very limited funding and donations, Fairfax has been able to purchase enough instruments to support a band of 80 members which includes 20 color guard members.  The school could very easily accomodate a band double this size but due to limited funding and lack of instruments, uniforms, staffing, etc., they are stuck in this current situation.  Your gracious donations could make instrumental music available to all in this school who desires to participate instead of the limited situation that currently exists.  Email BlakeHouseMedia@att.net to get information on how to donate to this program or others.

Churchland High School - Portsmouth, VA

Rogers-Herr Middle School - Durham, NC
Benefitting from a Duke University fund raiser

Meadowdale High School - Dayton, Ohio - As of January 17, 2007, ALL Band Programs were cut due to funding issues.  Unless funding is raised, there will be no future instrumental courses or extracurricular band programs at Meadowdale H.S.

Various Middle Schools Across the Country

Various High Schools Programs

Soul Tigers Marching Band Inc. -
Brooklyn, New York -  located in East New York - New York City - This group has 40 members in the band. The band is made up of middle school and high school students.  Their biggest problem is that they have more children in the program than instruments. So they are in need of help with the purchase of instruments, drums in particular. They keep lots of at risk children off the streets.

Marching Band Uniforms have been donated by Conestoga High School - Berwyn, PA and have not been placed in a school as of yet.  Uniforms are red and white.  Over 200 available.

Various Alumni and Seniors from High School have donated their instruments to programs lacking instruments.

Let us know of School that could use a financial boost in their music departments.

Other schools without instrumental music programs will be added in the near future.
